INDIAN FOOD Made with love

Food here was absoutely amazing!

We ate here our first night in Sun Valley, and canceled another reservation to come here again the next night, the food was so good and there were so many amazing items on the menu.
We tried the Kulchas, the cauliflower, vindaloo, paneer lasagna, butter chicken, and all of the desserts.

Nothing disappointed at all, and everything was spiced to perfection. Amazing place, and we’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Sun Valley!

Omg!!!! This place blew me away!

I’m vegan and the first time I had the veggie thing and it was amazing 🤩. Then… Those cauliflower things, went back for more, an app not to share. Then just got a side of chana masala and rice the next time, and the cauliflower of course, it was sooo good. They don’t have a big menu but what they have is amazing!!! My friends tried just about everything and blew my friends and I away, like this little restaurant? Why not a line down the street to be seated? They are new, so eat here while no one knows about them yet! Don’t have a picture cuz I ate it up!!!!!💕💝🤓 P.s. still dreaming about those cauliflower things, they have like curry in the breading or something 🤣🤤😋

Simply Phenomenal!!

We had been on a road trip in Idaho and driving around for a few days already. We arrived in Ketchum and stayed at the Sun Valley lodge and felt like some Indian food. Came across this on Yelp and noticed the 5 stars. Most all reviews were by non-Indian folks so I had extremely low expectations but we went there anyway.

All our items were extremely authentic and a flavor of its own. Not the kind of bad food you get in the Bay Area where they serve 10 different food items with the same sauce. The chef is from Kolkata and had a few authentic Kolkatta stuff as well as from other parts of India.

All in all we were blown away by the food. Service was good.

Saffron Indian Cuisine was an absolutely pleasant surprise.

I was having a drink in town and met some locals last night and asked if they had eaten at Saffron. To my surprise they had not, well I hope they read this. Saffron is fantastic. I started off with the Amritsari shrimp. Think battered jumbo shrimp! Absolutely aces! For my entry, I had the rack of lamb vindaloo. It was beautiful and flavorful. Who would think Brussels sprouts and vindaloo together?! But it works. The potatoes were silky and perfect! The garlic naan was a great addition to soak up all the beautiful vindaloo. If you live in Ketchum or just visiting, please make it a point to eat here. Just do it.

Fine Indian food in the heart of the Idaho Rockies.

I was visiting my daughter for a week in Sun Valley. We were thinking of visiting a standard of European cuisine for the valley (cks) but decided to take a tip from a discerning old friend. I’m glad we did. This is a restaurant of classic Indian cuisine This is a fine authentic Indian restaurant where complex spice combinations are respectfully presented with the heat of Chile turned down for elderly middle American palates. We ordered four of the “large plates” on the menu. 2 chicken presentations, one of veal shank and the other of lamb. All four were equally excellent. Having a Monterey County heritage , I couldn’t turn down their offering of a stuffed artichoke. All four of us agreed that the artichoke was not as successful as the other four marvelous presentations. The wine list is short and surprisingly inexpensive. Good quality too. Saffron makes a marvelous contribution to broadening the horizon of Sun Valley cuisine. Every adventuresome diner should book a table at this fine restaurant.
